Counterfeit Kit Challenge - using more of my kit - Beautiful.

I was wanting to use the left over piece from the Dusty Attic chipboard in the Exclusive Neon Kit from Scrapping Fun Kits.

As I was playing with my supplies I realised that the supplies that would best suit this layout were supplies from my Counterfeit Kit Challenge March Kit, so time for another layout using these supplies

I experiemented with colouring the chipboard, first with gelatos, which was so pretty but not right for my layout so I painted it with teal paint.

I cut up the part that would wind up under the glasses paper to place it under the paper in 5 places so it would be at the correct height.
The photo shows 4 but I cut the one that would be in the top right corner in half so I would have a piece for the middle.

I added some of the teal paint with some bubble wrap, covering the main part of my layout with paper so only a little went on it.
I added a strip of the camera paper down the side as I wasn't happy with the results of the paint on that side.

I decided a couple of days after finishing the layout to add some shimmer to my chipboard, unfortunatly it didn't turn out how I wanted but I decided to stop trying to fix my layout and embrace it.

Counterfiet Kit Challenge Guest Designer - Challenge 1 Old and New

The first Challenge from Counterfiet Kit Challenge this month is Old and New, I used this prompt not only with selecting supplies but also my photos.

It was suggested when I posted this photo of a 7yr me to find out where it was that I should include a current photo of London Bridge at the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road since where I am standing with my Mum and Uncle Des collapsed into the ocean in 1990 so this prompt had me really wanting to scrap these photos.

These gorgeous little wood veneer hearts are new to my stash, I recieved them in a RAK I recieved in February.
I love them.
The flower sticker, white rose and Good Times sticker are some older items in my stash, not my oldest but they have been in  it for over a year.  It was great using up some of my older supplies.

The background paper and Thickers are from my Kitaholic Kits January Main Kit, I also used some other papers that are new to my stash from a couple of 6x6 paper pads I recently bought and a gorgeous floral from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad Heike gave me for my 40th.
The older papers I used are a blue wave paper that is hard to see in the photo from a American Crafts Atlantic paper pad and this fun pink paper that is at the back of my layers that has words on it in a darker pink which is from a old cheap pad from Lincraft.

I have left lots of room for journaling as I don't have any clear memories from this trip so my Mum's best friend is writing up her memories for me and sending them to me from Germany.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge March Guest Designer Kit Reveal

I am so excited to be the Guest Designer for Counterfeit Kit Challenge March 2017.

I love the kit inspiration from Hip Kit Club and got to work selected 12x12 papers, 6x6 papers and embellishments.

Here is my kit.

When selecting papers my focus was finding pinks, florals, butterflies and cameras while remembering that it featured a piece that was white with black florals and some gorgeous blues and aquas.

In my kit I included these papers left over from my Kitaholic Kits January Main Kit as they have the lovely soft aqua & gorgeous peacock colour that I noticed on some of the papers in the kit from Hip Kit Club.  I also grabbed out the enamel shapes and the die cuts from this kit as I know there are some bits in these that may suit.
I just love the little hearts and need them in my kit.

Aren't these 6x6 papers just gorgeous.  They gave me some extra options for my kit that are just perfect.

I went through my embellishments and stickers looking for florals and butterflies and keeping in mind the colours.
These sticker sheets from Kaisercraft were perfect for this kit.  I also included this little kit I got for free that is from Instax as it has some pink paper that may suit and some cute stickers and washi.  These tags were a lovely bit to add to my kit and lastly this lovely trim my friend Seryn gave me.

I knew I wanted to get out the left overs of my Berry Bliss embellishment kit from D-lish Scraps as it has some gorgeous pink and teal bits in it.
I noticed the kit from Hip Kit Club has some gold hearts and bits so I grabbed out these gold stickers from a kit from Paper Pretty and these gold chipboard stickers I just recieved in a RAK from Kylie.
My focus on butterflies I decided to include these gorgeous butterfly buttons and these butterfly wood veneer from Corbett Creations that were included in a butterfly themed kit from Rainbow Splendour also from that kit I included a epoxy flair, journal cards, felt bow and a doily.
I love this sticker sheet with the gorgeous camera on it.
And finally these gorgeous file folders I got for $1 last week at a shop that was closing down.

My final step was to find some letters.

I am really looking forward to playing with my kit.

I hope you get into your stash and join in the fun that is the Counterfiet Kit Challenge.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge - My Kit

Sorry I am late with sharing my Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit this month, I was having camera issues and could not take good quality photos for some time, I am loving having my camera back and I am excited to share with you what I have pulled from my stash.

Due to the time difference the post on the First of the month for this wonderful challenge goes live on the 2nd my time so I loved seeing this month's inspiration for Counterfeit Kit Challenge was Ubud Dreams from Kaisercraft as it is the range that is the base of Kitaholic Kits this month.  I am excited as I am getting the Main Kit this month from Kitaholic Kits as it features a the perfect blue for doing my children's school photos and as you can see by my counterfeit kit I am running very low on Navy patterned papers.  I got a embellishment kit from Steph in November and loved it, she does a wonderful job coordinating supplies and my experience with her customer service was exemplary.

I love the papers from my old Shimelle paper pad.
This strip is all I have left of this lovely navy polka dot paper.
The green and navy dot paper and the spaceship paper had the perfect colours for this challenge.
Lovely papers and scraps from my Atlantic Paper Pad
This paper and alphas are a very old My Mind's Eye range called Front Porch Picket Fennce and are perfect for this kit.
This floral sheet is from a Aldi paper pad also works well for this challenge.
The last of this gorgeous paper from douceur de vivre.
A sheet from Kaisercraft Paradiso.
A sheet of ledger style paper and a scrap of pretty paper from K&Company.
Some Navy cardstock I put through a CTMH embossing folder a couple of years ago to show how you can do a full 12 inch stripe was perfect to add to this kit.

I pulled out the washi that I Forged for the October Counterfeit Kit Challenge as the blue are perfect for this kit.
I added some tags from My Mind's Eye Front Porch Picket Fence and vintage lace from my Mum's sewing stash and a lovely piece my friend Seryn gave me.
I love these Mistable Thickers as I can colour them to suit my needs.
So many lovely pages in the Mandala Colouring Book that would suit using in this month's challenge.

As I waited until I cold take decent photos of my kit Forgeries on the  Fourth and the First Challenge are up already but I look forward to playing along as much as I can.
Are you playing along with this month's Counterfeit Kit challenge?  I would love to see your kit.

Counterfeit Challenge Blog Hop - Balance The Scales

Welcome to the October Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop.   This is my first ever Blog Hop and I am excited.  You should  have arrived here from Kelly if not that is ok just follow the link at the end of this post to the next blog or head to CKC Blog for the Blog Hop List.

Challenge 2 - Balanace The Scales is all about balancing the colours on your layout.
This photo from Better Homes and Gardens is a example of Balancing The Scales, There is a lot of the pale pink, a little of the slightly darker pink and the medium colour is the dark pink as there is slightly less of it than the light pink.
This Video explains the design concept well.

As suggested in the video I didn't count black or white in my 3 colours.  I chose Pink as my main colour, Grey as my medium colour and the Blue as my minor colour though it is a bit more than a dash.

I used papers from American Crafts Atlantic paper pad, my only Shimelle paper pad, My Mind's Eye 6x6 Noteable paper pad that Heike gave me for my birthday, a Project Life Card from the Cobolt Collection, gauze, Kaszazz paper flowers and leaves which I coloured to match, my DIY beading wire half flowers, resin flowers from D-lish Scraps October Just Add Paper Kit, some brads and Creative Memories alphabet.
I used CTMH Pacifica ink to colour the leaves and some DIY paint spray to colour the flowers.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  Next in the Blog Hop is Just Jimjams she does lovely work so head over and check out what she created for this month's Blog Hop.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge - Challenge 1 Snip Snip

Here is my take on Counterfeit Kit Challenge - Challenge 1 Snip Snip.
I was so glad I included this floral paper as it was perfect for this challenge.
While I love fussy cut items on a layout my hand doesn't love doing it so I kept the fussy cutting to a minimum.

The flowers had green centres so I cut some of the pink spots out of the paper and some random round shapes from the grey in the paper to create new flower centres.

I love how papers from 3 different brands coordinated so well for this layout.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Forgeries On The Fourth

The first prompt after creating your kit from you stash for Counterfeith Kit Challenge is Forgeries On The Fourth.
I had a lot of fun making some supplies for this.  I had already planned on making paper flowers and bead wire flowers before I knew about this prompt, I also decided to make my version of one of the papers and my own washi for this part of the challenge.

The paper will take me a while to finish, due to my hand issues I can only colour one heart a day.

I am so happy with how my Paper Flowers turned out.

Have you DIYed some items to use in your scrapping this month?

Counterfeit Kit Challenge My Kit

I only just discovered Counterfiet Kit Challenge last month and though I would give  it a try this month.
This month they have chosen a goreous range called Indigo Hills from Pink Fresh Studio.  This challenge is all about using this lovely range to create your own kit from your stash.

Here is my kit.

I chose papers including scraps from Studio Calico, Shimmelle, Little Yellow Bicycle, Kaisercraft, My Mind's Eye and Karen Foster Design.

I selected 2 alphabets from Creative Memories and 2 from Kaszazz.
Some gauze, stickers, die cuts, chipboard and stamps.
Some flowers, flairs, project life cards & papers, embroidery thread, twine, beading wire, ricrac, resin flowers, charms, glass sprinkles and broken necklace.
For a start to the messy supplies I selected my only Colour Blast paste (Just Blue), Perler Pen (Blau), Distress Stain (Mustard Seed), Gelatos (Banana & Squid) and DIY black ink spray.

So now I have my kit sorted and in a bag next to my chair I can't wait to play along with this Challenge.
