Every month I promise myself I will do at least one challenge and then I get caught up in the chaos of life and creating and before I know it I am typing up the next challenge list. I was determined to do this month's Scrap the Girls Challenge as it was the perfect prompt for getting photos of myself cosplaying the Cheshire Cat at FraserPop 2.0 scrapped.
I also had the perfect kit for it, the kit I created because I needed Alice In Wonderland themed supplies to scrap these memories. SHHHH this is a sneak peek of a 2019 kit from Scrapping Fun Kits ;)
I won't go into details of how I created this project in this post as I literally sat down to create this page at 430pm on November 30th and I am typing this a 545pm so I am under the crunch to get it entered and I would like to share the how it came together with you when the kit is released, including a process video for it. So for now here is a pic of my layout. I hope you like it and it inspires you to either enter Scrap the Girls in December or create a Alice themed layout :)

Scrap the Girls
I have had a bit of a creative block, even with having my supplies organised for a few challenges and photos selected I could not create except for 40 minutes on Friday when I created some items inspired by a artwork. So Saturday I pulled out all my supplies for Scrap the Girls Moodboard and put the 3 possible background sheets on my desk, then every time I had some spare moments and was passing my desk I would play with embellishments and papers until I was happy with what I had, it was a case of I needed to play without thinking about it and without worrying about creating a layout, by Sunday evening I was happy with what I had and this morning I put my layout together.
I used BoBunny C'EST LA VIE Belle paper, Kaisercraft 6x6 Trough The Looking Glass paper, rose ribbon, 2Crafty Chipboard - hanging heart vine, music note charms, cello charm, wood veener leaves, kaisercraft paper roses, Lincraft mini paper roses, Distress Stains (Weathered Wood, Milled Lavender & Seedless Preserves), Gesso, Reject Shop Kraft Tag.

Grabbed some spare flowers to show how well the colour of the tag turn out against the petal colour.
Are you joining in the Scrap The Girls Challenge this month.

Scrap The Girls June Moodboard Challenge
I really wanted to reward myself with completing some Scrapbooking Challenges this month.
I shared on my Facebook page a list of Challenges that had come to my attention at the beginning of the month promising myself I would do some.
When I finished preparing for my exam I started pulling out papers and embellishments that would suit some of the Challenges I liked, 2 Challenges used similar colours one of which was the Scrap The Girls June Mood Board.
Of the 6 papers I selected after studying I chose these 2 to use for this layout.
I loved all the embellishments, but I only used the selection in the bottom right of this photo on the layout.
The paper under the pile I rubbed some Mustard Seed Distress Stain on and sprayed with some Dirty Martini Dylusions Spray but you can't really see this in the layout as it was a test to see how they would look on the paper.
I chose White Cardstock for my background and used a diamond stencil with yellow paint spray and Dirty Martini Dylusions Spray on the right, then placed the side of the stencil that was covered in ink down on the left.
I rubbed the page with a wet wipe to spread and smudge any excess.
I then used a small chevron stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Stain and again smudged it with a wet wipe after.
Subtle texture from the sprays and stains.
I chose this photo of my daughter that a friend took during Summer as it is such a special photo, the caption she included with it was very significant and was the reason for the Butterflies on the page and the Title being Butterfly.
The story is personal to her so the Butterflies and the Title is a good way to prompt the positive thoughts associated with the photo without everyone who looks at her album reading her story.
