Hoppy Easter YouTube Hop - Easter at the Call Centre

We have another YouTube Hop for you and it is Easter themed.  I love Easter, I love seeing the kids faces when the Bunny has left eggs for them all over the house and/or yard, and I really love Hot Cross Buns and I am so glad that Mr E's digestive issues have improved enough that he can have them now so this was a Hop I was really excited to do, however I had a issue occur with my photo storage and my back up storage so I thought I didn't have any Easter photosto scrap until I remembered hubby took photos of the Easter Bunny visiting the Call Centre on Easter Sunday last year to give all the people working a Easter Egg, thankfully he still  had them on his phone and I get to scrap this story.

The prize for this Hop's Prize Draw is a April Kit from Scrapping Fun Kits, so if you missed out on subscribing to April make sure you enter, or if you have already got a April Kit why not enter anyway and have a chance to win a second kit.

The floral doily has some little pink flowers so this was a great piece to use in this layout as the Easter Bunny had yellow and pink on her outfit and I wanted to pull yellow and pink into the layout.
The doily pulled the purple of the April kit and the pink I was adding into one element and helped pull the layout together.

I was so indecisive about my background paper and how I wanted to start that in the end I just put 2 pieces of washi down and started.  If you are having a creative block or are finding it hard to decide how you want to start a layout putting something down and committing to it can help get the process going.  Well it works for me.
Then it was just a matter of building from the washi.

I used these beautiful thickers from my March Kitaholic Kits Main Kit for the Easter in my title, some tiny purple felt alphas that have no branding on the packaging and these cute typewriter key style alphas from My Mind's Eye for my title.
The yellow striped paper is from what is one of my favourite 6x6 paper pads, Happy Place from Dear Lizzy.

I will do my journaling and possibly add a doodle around the outside later, I don't want to reveal any Bunny secrets to a little one who might look over Mum's shoulder.

This year will be our first Easter with our Granddaughter so I am really looking forward to recording the memories we create this year.

To enter watch each video in the Hop and leave a commenton each video.

Here is the Hop order

Counterfiet Kit Challenge Guest Designer - Challenge 1 Old and New

The first Challenge from Counterfiet Kit Challenge this month is Old and New, I used this prompt not only with selecting supplies but also my photos.

It was suggested when I posted this photo of a 7yr me to find out where it was that I should include a current photo of London Bridge at the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road since where I am standing with my Mum and Uncle Des collapsed into the ocean in 1990 so this prompt had me really wanting to scrap these photos.

These gorgeous little wood veneer hearts are new to my stash, I recieved them in a RAK I recieved in February.
I love them.
The flower sticker, white rose and Good Times sticker are some older items in my stash, not my oldest but they have been in  it for over a year.  It was great using up some of my older supplies.

The background paper and Thickers are from my Kitaholic Kits January Main Kit, I also used some other papers that are new to my stash from a couple of 6x6 paper pads I recently bought and a gorgeous floral from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad Heike gave me for my 40th.
The older papers I used are a blue wave paper that is hard to see in the photo from a American Crafts Atlantic paper pad and this fun pink paper that is at the back of my layers that has words on it in a darker pink which is from a old cheap pad from Lincraft.

I have left lots of room for journaling as I don't have any clear memories from this trip so my Mum's best friend is writing up her memories for me and sending them to me from Germany.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge March Guest Designer Kit Reveal

I am so excited to be the Guest Designer for Counterfeit Kit Challenge March 2017.

I love the kit inspiration from Hip Kit Club and got to work selected 12x12 papers, 6x6 papers and embellishments.

Here is my kit.

When selecting papers my focus was finding pinks, florals, butterflies and cameras while remembering that it featured a piece that was white with black florals and some gorgeous blues and aquas.

In my kit I included these papers left over from my Kitaholic Kits January Main Kit as they have the lovely soft aqua & gorgeous peacock colour that I noticed on some of the papers in the kit from Hip Kit Club.  I also grabbed out the enamel shapes and the die cuts from this kit as I know there are some bits in these that may suit.
I just love the little hearts and need them in my kit.

Aren't these 6x6 papers just gorgeous.  They gave me some extra options for my kit that are just perfect.

I went through my embellishments and stickers looking for florals and butterflies and keeping in mind the colours.
These sticker sheets from Kaisercraft were perfect for this kit.  I also included this little kit I got for free that is from Instax as it has some pink paper that may suit and some cute stickers and washi.  These tags were a lovely bit to add to my kit and lastly this lovely trim my friend Seryn gave me.

I knew I wanted to get out the left overs of my Berry Bliss embellishment kit from D-lish Scraps as it has some gorgeous pink and teal bits in it.
I noticed the kit from Hip Kit Club has some gold hearts and bits so I grabbed out these gold stickers from a kit from Paper Pretty and these gold chipboard stickers I just recieved in a RAK from Kylie.
My focus on butterflies I decided to include these gorgeous butterfly buttons and these butterfly wood veneer from Corbett Creations that were included in a butterfly themed kit from Rainbow Splendour also from that kit I included a epoxy flair, journal cards, felt bow and a doily.
I love this sticker sheet with the gorgeous camera on it.
And finally these gorgeous file folders I got for $1 last week at a shop that was closing down.

My final step was to find some letters.

I am really looking forward to playing with my kit.

I hope you get into your stash and join in the fun that is the Counterfiet Kit Challenge.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge - My Kit

Sorry I am late with sharing my Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit this month, I was having camera issues and could not take good quality photos for some time, I am loving having my camera back and I am excited to share with you what I have pulled from my stash.

Due to the time difference the post on the First of the month for this wonderful challenge goes live on the 2nd my time so I loved seeing this month's inspiration for Counterfeit Kit Challenge was Ubud Dreams from Kaisercraft as it is the range that is the base of Kitaholic Kits this month.  I am excited as I am getting the Main Kit this month from Kitaholic Kits as it features a the perfect blue for doing my children's school photos and as you can see by my counterfeit kit I am running very low on Navy patterned papers.  I got a embellishment kit from Steph in November and loved it, she does a wonderful job coordinating supplies and my experience with her customer service was exemplary.

I love the papers from my old Shimelle paper pad.
This strip is all I have left of this lovely navy polka dot paper.
The green and navy dot paper and the spaceship paper had the perfect colours for this challenge.
Lovely papers and scraps from my Atlantic Paper Pad
This paper and alphas are a very old My Mind's Eye range called Front Porch Picket Fennce and are perfect for this kit.
This floral sheet is from a Aldi paper pad also works well for this challenge.
The last of this gorgeous paper from douceur de vivre.
A sheet from Kaisercraft Paradiso.
A sheet of ledger style paper and a scrap of pretty paper from K&Company.
Some Navy cardstock I put through a CTMH embossing folder a couple of years ago to show how you can do a full 12 inch stripe was perfect to add to this kit.

I pulled out the washi that I Forged for the October Counterfeit Kit Challenge as the blue are perfect for this kit.
I added some tags from My Mind's Eye Front Porch Picket Fence and vintage lace from my Mum's sewing stash and a lovely piece my friend Seryn gave me.
I love these Mistable Thickers as I can colour them to suit my needs.
So many lovely pages in the Mandala Colouring Book that would suit using in this month's challenge.

As I waited until I cold take decent photos of my kit Forgeries on the  Fourth and the First Challenge are up already but I look forward to playing along as much as I can.
Are you playing along with this month's Counterfeit Kit challenge?  I would love to see your kit.

Taking Minimal Supplies - Scrapping on a Train

I was unsure how long I would be staying down to help my daughter after the birth of my granddaughter so I took 1 bag of scrapping supplies.
Unfortunately I wound up having to come home much earlier than I expected and so I scrapped for 10 minutes on the train as I was rather stressed.
So glad I precut papers to 8x8 as anything bigger was not doable on the fold down table.
The passengersthat were booked for the seats directly across from me didn't turn up so the lady next to me asked if she could move there so I did have a seat vacant next to me to put supplies on which made it a little easier to scrap.  The lady was also crafting, she was doing some lovely embroidery and also spread her supplies on the vacant seat next to her.

I took the 8x8 album I am working on.
I trimmed down 3 sheets from a 12x12 pad of Kraft cardstock from Kaisercraft and 5 sheets of white cardstock.
I took all I have left of Kaisercraft Ivy Crush.
My 2 6x6 pads from My Mind's Eye Noteable range that Heike gave me.
A bag of purple, white and yellow paper and felt flowers.
1 white doily, my yellow doily and purple doily.
A pack Instax baby girl themed die cuts.
The Instax freebie from Harvey Norman that was claimable in Better Homes and Gardens.
November's Just Add Paper Kit from D-lish Scraps.
A pack of baby girl themed embellishments from the LA DE DAH range
Jenni B baby stickers
Stickers from My Minds Eye Lime Twist range.
My 12 inch Trimmer.
Helmer Professional Acid Free Glue in a ziploc bag just in case.
My Smiggle case that is always packed with basic adhesive and small tool needs.

Here is the layout I whipped up.  It still needs the date of the photo to finish it but I am happy with what I created on a small fold down table on a train.
I love these gorgeous felt flowers from D-lish Scraps

So don't let limited space stop you from crafting.
What out places have you scrapped?

ARTastic November Challenge

I needed to get some more scrapping done, I really wanted to finish the layouts for my daughter before baby Squirtle arrived but after this one I still have 8 to go so I have packed 1 bag of supplies to take with me in case I get a chance to scrap.
I gave myself a few 20 minutes on Sunday and 30 on Monday to finish this layout for ARTastic November Challenge.  Using the second baby bump photo.

I started by pulling out embellishments that they artwork had me drawn to, including vintage white and blue lace from my Mum's sewing stash, a piece of vintage doily that reminds me of leaves, these cute Apricot flowers and sky blue crocheted heart from D-lish Scraps, this cute heart from Charms Creations, some vintage metal buttons, Kaisercraft white mini roses, blue mini roses from the cheap shop and this cute blue paper flower that I got at the Destash Market (it is the only one like it in the entire pack of flowers and it is perfect for this layout).
I used a TCW stencil designed by Gabrielle Pollacco and Mister Huey's Color Mist in Warm Calico as the artwork has a tree trunk in the top left corner so I decided to add something brown as I don't have any tree trunk stencils or stamps I used a leafy vine.
I wanted to Gesso the page after doing this so I could experiment with that effect, I applied the Gesso in a thin layer over the section of the stenciling I wanted to show and thicker elsewhere in random strokes.
I then used Distress Stain in Tumbled Glass and Mister Huey's Color Mist in Powder Blue with water to get the rest of the colour I needed.

The Charms Creations heart and D-lish Scraps heart work wo well together.
I love the vintage lace from Mum's stash.   I am really loving including Mum's sewing supplies in my scrapbooking.
This piece of doily is just so lovely.
The flower has a lovely blending of blues in the centre.
I love this cute vintage button.  I have only 1 left now.
I like how the leaves on teh vine turned out.
Papers used include scraps from My Mind's Eye Collectable "Unforgettable" 6x6 paper pad that Heike gave me for my Birthday.  Thank you Heike I am getting so much use out of this wonderful paper pad.
I have also used a scrap from a background I did for a layout in April that I was unable to share the finished layout online, I did share a close up of the background  on my Facebook and Instagram.
I am really happy with the results of this layout and can't wait to give this album to my daughter.

Pixels and Paper September Challenge

I took a little break from my big messy project that I unfortunately can't share yet and did a quick, simple layout for this month's Pixels and Paper Challenge.  I loved the colour combination this month, a lovely purple with yellow and green just gorgeous.

I also did my first process video.  There is a issue with the audio towards the end, I have no idea what has gone wrong, it is all there in the file, everything plays fine until I hit publish.  If I can fix it I will.

I used the cute vellum pocket and tag from my Lincraft Haul>
I used the scallop of it to hide the part of the butterfly for jewellery making that beads normally hang from at the bottom.

I also used some green grosgrain ribbon, some paper roses, a sheet from My Mind's Eye Collectable Notable  6x6 Pad, scrap from Kaisercraft Violet Crush, a random scrap, Stampin Up purple cardstock and a scrap of yellow cardstock from American Crafts.

Though I have finished and uploaded my page I want to add the word Beeautiful (inspired from the photo)) as I think my daughter is beautiful but my hand is playing up so writing is out and I don't have the right lettering so it will have to wait until my hand is better.
I can't wait to give this album to my daughter so she can journal her memories.

Jot Magazine August Moodboard

When I saw the Jot Magazine August Moodboard I knew it was the perfect inspiration for scrapping my daughter's first time touring when she was 19 as a cellist with Elvis To The Max for his Mackay and Rockhampton performances.  But which photo to use.  I decided to use a photo of her with Max and some of the other musicians with their instruments.

I started by selecting various embellishments that may suit the layout and some scraps of red paper and a sheet of grey paper from the 6x6 pad from Kaisercraft's Through The Looking Glass range.  I also grabbed some die cuts from Kaisercraft Close Up Collectables.

I wanted this layout to be fairly quick and simple to create as I want to get as many challenges done this month I can.

First I did some stenciling on the smooth side of my white cardstock but I was not happy with the results so I flipped the cardstock over and used a red Mister Hueys spray to do some droplets by taking the nozzle out and giving it a shake.

I got these gorgeous music brads some time ago, I don't remember the brand but I love them, I added the flower to cover up something that I didn't want visible.  There are no mistakes in scrapbooking, just happy accidents that allow you to change your layout by moving things or adding things.

I was working on this embellishment cluster when I spotted this cute felt bow that was included in my small order from Rainbow Splendour and I just had to add it in as it is black and glittery which is perfect.

Some of the red Mister Hueys Spray got on my Memories tag accidentally despite it not being near the cardstock but I really like the effect.
I tore a piece of washi in half length ways and added it to the bottom left and top right of the page.
I stamped some cute stars with CTMH Slate Ink after I had finished the layout.

My finished layout, I intentionally have not completely finished it as I want my daughter to do the journaling and I will add the Title once I have her journaling to add.
Appologies for the layout looking like the red paper is not straight, my usual surface for photographing my layout is currently not available so I had to take this photo on a chair which was not flat.
Have you partcipated in any Challenges this month?  If so please share them with me.

Jot Magazine July Mood Board and Aussie Crafters Pet Layout

I loved the July Mood Board from Jot Magazine when I saw it, it certainly felt warm, I have a small collection of yellow supplies and this was the prompt I needed to use them.

When I saw the prompt for Aussie Crafters July Challenge was Pets I knew I wanted to scrap Lola, I knew it would be sad to scrap this photo as it was taken the morning she passed away on July 4th 2016 but I wanted to create a layout of this beautiful dog that loved us for the last 2 years and 2 months of her life.
The love of a older dog is special.

I hadn't made much progress other than thinking about colours, papers and embelishments I may wish to use, however I had all my yellow supplies out for the Jot Magazine July Mood Board and her photo was on my desk near it I hadn't selected a photo for the Jot Magazine Mood Board yet and I was drawn to the need for the happiness and warmth of the yellow in the Mood Board to be around Lola.

For the Mood Board I had gotten out a collection of yellow embellishments, wood buttons to represent the woodgrain and cut part of a cute doily as I loved the yellow in it and the clothesline of white baby clothes in the Mood Board felt like a doily would fit.
I also added a sheet of lovely yellow patterened paper from the same My Mind's Eye 6x6 Designer Pad Unforgettable Heike gave to me for my Birthday.

As our Pet album is a 8x8 album unless it is a layout going into one of the kids 12x12 I did the ruler trick to see how it would look as a 8x8 layout and then tried 12x12.

I loved the extra space the 12x12 allowed but felt it was best to do this layout for the family pet album so went with 8x8.

The paper flowers were 4 petal flowers, I trimmed out the fourth petal to use at a later date on another project since it would be hidden from view.

I am going to include journaling on a tag that will be tucked in behind the photo as I adhered it in a way that would allow this in case I decided I wanted to do this later.  I couldn't make my mind up where to put the journaling so left myself some options.
