Christmas 2017 YouTube Hop - Childhood Christmas Memories Book
Welcome to the Christmas 2017 Aussie YouTube Hop.
Wow can you believe it has been a year since I posted in a couple of groups asking if anyone would like to do a December Projects YouTube Hop with me and the lovely Morgyn jumped on board and has been just such a amazing organiser, these hops would not be what they are without her work on creating so much of the behind the scenes bits that make them work.
To think before this project our only contact was seeing each other post in scrapping groups and responding to some of each other's posts and now she is one of my dearest friends. This Hop has been a wonderful way to make friends and share the hobby I love. Thank you for supporting it by watching and commenting.

Friends - Scrapbooking Emporium Design Team
Today I have a layout for the Get Crafty/Scrapbooking Emporium Design Team to share with you.
Kaisercraft Rose Avenue and the gorgeous flowers, ribbon and metal filigree from The Scrapbooking Emporium were just such a lovely combo for a spring layout I knew they would be perfect for this selfie taken when I was catching up with a friend I haven't seen in 22 years who kindly offered to drive Mr C, Mr E and myself to where we needed to go that morning. The blue organza ruffle ribbon was perfect for making a scrunchy flower. I wound it around my fingers and then stapled it together, added some Helmers Professional Acid Free glue to the centre and popped this blue flower from my stash in the centre.

First I created my layers of papers behind my photo.
Then I started building my embellishment clusters using the flower I had created, the lovely pale pink roses and metal filigree that was included in my DT kit and some of the gorgeous white lace I received last month combined with a assortment of wood veneer from my stash and some small pink roses, some blue paper flowers from my stash.
The filigree has lovely delicate details. I just love it.
Once the page protector is on the ribbon flower sits down really nicely.
The film strip wood veneer my friend Shay gave me was the perfect way to ground the cluster and help it all come together.
I do love how this layout turned out.
Have you created anything with Rose Avenue? I would love to see it.

Bellingham Maze layout - Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team
Today I have a Design Team layout for you for Scrapping Fun Kits.
I love the colour combination in the September/Spring Kit. Even though this trip was not in Spring the supplies helped add to the fun of the layout which was a great way to enhance the photo from this fun day at Bellingham Maze on the Sunshine Coast several years ago. I will add a second layout for the journaling as there is a fair bit to tell about this day.
In addition to my September kit I used papers from my stash that have been pulled from their collections/pads so I am not sure what a couple of them are but I think I used a combination of Kaisercraft, Shimmelle or Maggie Holmes papers. I also pulled out left over bits from a embellishment kit from My Scrapbook Room
I did have a creative block while working on this layout so I reminded myself of what I said in a post on Mercy Tiara's group Saturday and just stuck things down, I committed and hoped it would work.
I started by sticking down the bird and butterfly washi in the top corner but I needed to stick more down. I needed to stop thinking about how it would all come together, I needed to just get the paper layers down and then play with embellishments and let the supplies work for me.
I finished off with a wobbly pen border.
I am quiet happy with the results and please with what I created when having a creative block.
Due to technical difficulties my Process Video has not been able to be uploaded. Hopefully tech support aka hubby can fix the issues later today so I can share it with you.

Kaisercraft Letters To Santa - A Christmas Tradition - Get Crafty Design Team
Today I have a Christmas layout for you using Kasiercraft's Letters To Santa range for Get Crafty Ipswich.
I think this is my favourite of the Kaisercraft Christmas ranges this year, it is a lovely traditional Christmas themed range.
I loved the quotes on the cut apart papers and the advent calendar paper in this range and felt they were perfect for scrapbooking the last Santa photo that all 4 of my kids were in. As families change so do traditions and now this tradition is just my younger 2 as my adult girls are now creating their own Christmas traditions so this lovely piece of chipboard from 2 Crafty Chipboard was just perfect for this layout. I received this in my prize pack for the June 2016 Scrap The Boys Challenge.
I loved these filigree pieces from Get Crafty, they were a perfect accent for my handmade poinsettia.
I loved this quote from Believe In Magic paper.
Check out my video to see another page trimmed ready for my December Project this year.

Elvis To The Max - Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team
I am loving this Music Kit from Scrapping Fun Kits.Music themed kits are hard to come by and I need a lot of Music themed supplies with 3 children who play instruments, being a family who loves to listen to all varieties of music and well Music themed supplies are great for baby layouts, Christmas layouts and all kinds of projects.
Coralee toured as a cellist with Elvis to the Max 3 years ago for his Mackay and Rockhampton shows. It was a fantastic experience and she made some wonderful friends on tour.
I love this photo of her with Max and really wanted to get it scrapped so this kit was perfect for doing that.
This layout is another layout featuring my challenge of limiting my supplies, the background is just white cardstock with some black ink drops and a strip of the musical instrument washi across the entire sheet.
I unfortunately got some ink and glue in places I didn't intend to so had to change how I would have preferred to do my clustering on this to cover as much of this as possible. I still love how it turned out.
Unfortunately the Process Video glitched so I don't have a video for you.
Are you loving the Music Kit as much as I am?
Are there any themes you would love to see more of that are hard to find?

Kaisercraft Factory 42 - Making Memories - Get Crafty Design Team
Today I have a Get Crafty Design Team layout for you using Kaisercraft Factory 42.
When I saw Kaisercraft Factory 42 I knew it was the perfect range for scrapping our day at the first ever Fraser Pop Pop Culture Festival. The grungy steampunk feel is perfect for cosplay photos. Other colours could be added if needed but I didn't need to with the photos I was working with.
My pack came with 6 papers from the range, 10 of these lovely black flowers, a metre of black ricrac, a navy blue tassel that will be great on my planner and these cute typewriter style alphas.
I started by trimming off the zip strips off all the papers to use as additional layers in layouts, then I cut the cut apart sheet up.
I sorted the words from the cut aparts and the zip strips into suitable for Father's Day, suitable for this layout and other.
The ricrac and flowers from the Get Crafty pack went really well with the overall layout.
I added some left over gears from the Scrapping Fun Kits May Kit to pull the gears from the background paper to the front.
I also have a Process Video for you so you.
I am really happy with how my layout turned out. I love that I have so many layers and texture without a lot of bulk as the papers were full of texture and the brick pattern paper has other textures on it so while you see the bricks on the left there is another texture on the right.
Will you be using Factory 42 in any layouts?
Head to Get Crafty for more inspiration and to order supplies.

Ouch - Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team
Here is my second layout using the Scrapping Fun Kits May Kit.
I typed this story up last year after a prompt in a magazine inspired me to fill a word doc with stories and print them. The journaling and photo have been waiting on my desk to be scrapped for some time.
I used the same light grey cardstock for my background as I did with my layout Brothers.
And I used more of these cute blue stars are from Studio Calico, I got in my grab bag from My Scrapbook Room. This time using just the light blue stars in the pack.
I added some of the washi to the top right corner to help balance things out and ground the gears.
It is important to scrap the memories we otherwise would avoid in our albums as they aren't happy.
Why don't you sit down and type up a few stories you haven't told in your albums and maybe scrap some of them.
Scrapping Fun Kits May Kits have sold out and there are only a couple of June Kits left so if you haven't ordered a June Kit yet make sure you head to the Subscription Tab at Scrapping Fun Kits Blog and order one asap.

Brothers - Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team
Here is my first layout using the Scrapping Fun Kits May Kit.
Apologies that this post is late, I decided last night to add more to my finished layout and so this morning I had to take a new photo of the layout and do a new voice over on my Video.
I love these embellisments. The filigree flower is just gorgeous and the wood veneer stars are so cute.
These cute blue stars are from Studio Calico, I got in my grab bag from My Scrapbook Room.
I added a cute photo of the boys from 7 years ago hugging on Mr C's first day to the top right corner last night as I felt the page needed more.
I used a scrap of the star paper and scraps from the papers used on my other layout to add the photo in the right corner.
I also added 2 extra wood veneer stars from my stash.

Hello You Are Loved - Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team
I am up on the Scrapping Fun Kits blog today with my final layout using the April kit. I created a layout for my daughter's pregnancy album. I am so close to finishing this project and since Purple is such a big feature of the album this kit was perfect for it.
While working on this layout I was trying to be mindful that I needed to do my Easter layout with the kit as I have no Easter scrapping supplies and this would suit that so I was trying not to use too much of the kit.
I do enjoy working in 8x8 though it is a size that has challenges to work with, I love how quick and simple a 8x8 layout can be.
Butterflies are a feature in this album as there is a butterfly in the awareness logo for hyperemisis gravidarum and so they are helping tell the story of my daughter battle with HG.
The You Are Loved Epoxy Flair helped form the title of this page along with the Purple Shimmer Hello Diecut.
I then started creating my Title cluster and finished off with 2 butterflies in the top corner to balance things out.
I am really happy with this layout.

Once I made a decision on which photo I was going to use and played with my supplies for a bit to get a sense of what I wanted to do I put down some strips of the washi that was in the kit to get a base for my layout started.
After some more playing around with the papers and doily I added the 4x6 paper and the floral doily from the kit to the layout.
I didn't want to lose too much of the beautiful texture in the paper so I positioned it so it would show off the paper without detracting from the rest of the layout. After some more playing around with the papers and doily I added the 4x6 paper and the floral doily from the kit to the layout.

Pensive - Scrapping Fun Kit DT
I am up on the Scrapping Fun Kits blog today with my final layout using the Exclusive Neon Kit. I still have a few little bits left to use on another project down the track, which is great.
Once that decision was made it was time to play with layers.
When I wanted some butterflies punched from my paper scrap from the kit for my Hugs layout I punched them out so that I would still have a small usable piece for layering in a future layout if needed, so I was glad I did this as I needed this piece for my this layout.
The Alphas in the kit had little flowers so I added 2 of these to the layouts with my embellishment clusters to pull a aspect of the title into other parts of the layout for balance.
I also included a Wire Half Flower. made with pink beading wire in my cluster.
I love how this layout turned out.
This soft purple marbled paper was perfect for my needs, it gave the background some interest but as everything else was so busy it calmed things down and helped it feel more balanced.
For more details head to my post on Scrapping Fun Kits Blog.

The photo I used was one I found in a box that was damaged as it seems it was glued into something and then pulled out. It is one my daughter took with her webcam in her mid teens and I thought should looked very deep in thought so titled it Pensive.

Title Within A Title
For Task 1 from Scrapbooking Memories Masters Challenge 2016 I loved this photo of Mr C being a clown at the Doctor's while the nurse was really worried about him. So I typed up the story with the Title of Clowning Around and then when creating the layout I made a second title which could also incorporate the Clowning Around title. This idea wound up being used as a challenge in a group I help admin for October.
Unfortunately I didn't film this one but it was a lot of fun to create.
I used jewellery pieces, alphas from Kaszazz, black thread, black felt bow, watch pieces, circle chipboard Gesso, white cardstock, black cardstock, Rough and Tough by lili paper from fancypantsdesigns, Ready Set Go paper from American Crafts.
I swiped Gesso over the middle of my green paper.
Then I trimmed the green paper down a little and distressed the edges.
This paper really added a fun feel to the page and was perfect for scrapping my fun loving son.
