Level Up - Scrapping Fun Kits DT

Hi Scrapping Fun Kits fans today I wanted to share the layout I created with the Gaming kit.
I just played with my supplies and photos, so I don't have photos of how things came together as this scrap session was just about playing but I wanted to share with you what I did and how it turned out.

I used Katie's tip for the stickers but I didn't leave the white border.

You can just see some of the paper that is behind the photo on the right.  I loved that paper so much that I wanted a big piece  showing but once everything was down it felt like it was just floating so instead it became a background piece and I do love it.

I decided to go around the level up with a black pen to see how that effect would look.  I like it.

The cherry resin peice was the perfect addition to my title.
I placed some strips of 2 of the papers in the top left and bottom right corners of the layout and finished the layout off with a doodly border.
I started by matting my big photo with the Tetric styled paper, I cut the middle out so I could use the remainder on other projects.
I then built layers with the star paper, mario type paper and the red doily (I cut the doily in half so it could go in 2 places).
Once everything was stuck down I added some journaling about the memories these photos show.

This layout was quick to come together as the kit works so well together.  I hope this post has inspired you to create, if you wish to share what you create please head to the Scrapping Fun Inspiration Group and add it to the Gaming Kit ablum.

If you would love one of our Gaming Kits and haven't bought one yet there are still a couple left so just head to the Subscription Tab and fill in the form.  Enter the word Gaming into the promo box so I know that is the kit you would like.

Scrapping School Memories with Simple Stories School Rocks - CraftOnline Creative Team

I have a lot of school scrapbooking to catch up on so when I saw the new school range from Simple Stories called School Rocks I just had to grab it so I could get some of the layouts done.  Today I have a process video for you of my doing 3 layouts with this collection kit.

I start the video by showing you the supplies and photos I have and talking about how I might use the supplies and how even the supplies are helping prompt memories I need to record.
If you need to find a certain layout then here are the times in the video you can find each layout.  Layout 1 13:20 Layout 2 17:56 Layout 3  23:46

Items used in this project include.
Simple Stories School Rocks Collection Kit
American Crafts White Cardstock
American Crafts Straw Cardstock
American Crafts Olive Cardstock
Uni-Ball black pen
Helmar Acid Free Glue

I am loving the journal/title cards from the cut aparts and the the cute stickers in this range.  They helped me smash out my layouts really quickly.

I cut the locker card into the 3 lockers so I would have plenty of lockers for my high school scrapping.
I used the zip strips from the papers to help build layers on all 3 layouts.

Using a sheet of Straw Cardstock really helping this layout pop.

I absolutely loved this border sticker from the moment I saw it on the website and just had to use it as a focal point on a layout.
It really helped this layout come together quickly by staring with the border sticker and just pressing down the straight edge so I could tuck things in as I built the layout.

This pencil sticker for my date in this cluster was the perfect shade to match Mr C's shirt so I selected it to kind of add to the feeling that this layout was about his first day of the school year.

I loved that the sticker sheet included a few science pieces and math pieces in addition to the regular school stuff.  It helped with the high school theme but also the distance ed theme as we do a lot of science in this house now.

I love how my layouts turned out and that the supplies have prompted me to think of several other memories I need to record.
Why don't you check out what school themed supplies CraftOnline has and get some school scrapping done?  It is a fun theme to scrap in my experience.

January 2019 Challenge List

Welcome to the January Challenge List.

Apologies for the challenge list being late this month, I decreased my time on the computer over the holiday period.

Due to positive feedback I will continue to split the list into Australian based challenges and International challenges, so make sure you scroll through and check out all the wonderful challenges as many allow entries from all over the world.

Project Life

Here is a list of Challenges that would suit creating Project Life layouts.  Note I do need to check the challenges that are new to the list and update this sublist.  I will update shortly.

Scrap the Boys have said they will accept PL layouts.
Scrap the Girls have said they will accept PL layouts.
Kraft+ Challenge accepts tradition layouts, art journalling, tags, etc so this challenge would suit PL I think.
ARTastic Challenge Blog accepts all forms of Scrapbooking as entries.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia accepts PL entries.
Show us your stuff accepts PL entries.
Scrapbook Boutique accepts scrapbooking, off the page, etc so I think it would suit PL.  The new challenge is posted on the 10th of each month.
Dusty Attic states in the August Moodboard Entry Rules (so assuming it is the same) that your project can be anything you desire including layouts, cards or off the page so it sounds like PL will be accepted.
